Lori Kraft, a numismatic veteran familiar to many in the coin industry, has joined Whitman’s leadership team as the General Manager of Whitman Expo, the company announced today.
Kraft, who has worked for Whitman for five years, will also continue to work directly with dealers following her promotion.
“We are pleased to announce that Lori Kraft, who has done outstanding work with our Expos for years, will head the team producing all Expos. We are proud of the work she has done for us in the past, and we are excited that she will be continuing to grow these important events for collectors,” Whitman’s Mary Burleson said.
Ms. Burleson said practically any dealer who has been an exhibitor at a recent Baltimore Whitman Expo is familiar with Ms. Kraft’s handiwork.
“Lori’s expertise has long helped the Expos to run smoothly and efficiently. She has an excellent plan for new and innovative ways to deliver even more value for expo exhibitors and attendees, and you’ll be seeing that plan unfold in 2014,” Ms. Burleson said.
Prior to assuming a position with Whitman, Ms. Kraft was herself a coin dealer for roughly a decade. She said she looks forward to using the industry knowledge she gained then and since to further enhance opportunities for Expo exhibitors.
“We were pleased that the consensus view was that our Winter Baltimore Expo was one of the best coin shows in years, and we look forward to further refinements over the next year. It’s an exciting time to be in the numismatic industry,” Ms. Kraft said.
Ms. Kraft lives in Atlanta with her husband and daughter.
