NGC’s Introduction to Grading

The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation is conducting its first Introduction to Grading class 9 a..m. – 4 p.m., Saturday, March 16, at the Baltimore Expo. The class is FREE to the first 20* paid NGC Collectors Society members who register. There will be numerous give-a-ways for students, and lunch will be provided.

The class instructor is NGC grader John Schuch II. He will cover a variety of importantt grading topics, including proper lighting, the subtleties of About Uncirculated versus Mint State, counterfeit detection, the differences between strike versus wear, and the key attributes commonly considered to constitute positive eye appeal.

NGC president Rick Montgomery, considered by many to be the coin industry’s best authenticator, will make a guest appearance.
